How it adapt calling platform during the COVID-19 to create a story.
Use of theoretical myth to add suspense feeling.
How the space of characters’ house are used to set a claustrophobic atmosphere.
Unfriended (2014) because of:
The darkside of social media
How bad people can access other people’s data
The Treatment:
- A group of friends decides to do a video call with each other. One of them receives an email that comes with a link that leads up to a sketchy board/card game. After consideration, the group decided to play.
The email contains a promising prize for the winner of the game. However, those that lose the game will receive a punishment, which they didn’t realize that it is their ‘death penalty’ for losing.
The Enigma:
- After a friend is dead, the group realized that a mysterious person will be in their house and ready to kill when they lose the game.
The remaining friends will have to make decisions with each other on who will die and who will live until one remains.
The Moodboard:
Dark grey/Charcoal: To represent the shadow & darkness within the scene.
Yellow: To create the warmthness visually
Harsh White: To create the contrast in certain scenes.
Target audience:
- Teenagers that are into horror movies as a whole
- Teenagers that are into movies about social media , dead game etc.
Brief ideas:
- A group of friends decides to do a video call with each other. One of them receives an email that comes with a link that leads up to a sketchy board/card game. The email promise a huge price for the winner. The group decided to play.
Each player will receive a punishment if they lose.
The majority of the trailer will take place in the video call, most of the events will happen through the camera of each friend as a POV.

- Overall, this group of friends always talk to each other when they have time.
