This is a section where all 4 of our production sessions are thoroughly reviewed, and works as a proof that our production sessions DO happened.

18th Jan: Script Discussion

Location: Louis House

Our first session in our film production week. Our group’s chosen movie genre was horror. Well, practically, it was a branch of horror movie called “Found footage”. In a nutshell, found footage uses the POV (Point Of View) of a certain character and make a movie out of this. Because found footage doesn’t take a lot of money to film, as well as it is more realistic, we decided that found footage is our go-to movie genre.

It was a challenge for our group to choose our exact filming location, due to the fact that our movie’s background setting is at night, at somewhere mysterious, dark and scary. That is why we were struggled, because the location can vary. At first, we chose to film at Nathan’s house, since it’s small and would be nice to use as a movie background setting. However, Mark & Nathan suggest that Louis house’s garden would be more suitable for the setting, because the garden is full of trees, plants..., and that when the lights are switched off, it would be scary. Therefore, we decided to film at louis house’s garden. From this point, there were more challenges ahead of us during this production week.

- Me, Nathan and Mark will need travel to Louis house for the filming , while Mark and Nathan are coming, Louis has to prepared his garden to the scarest. Meanwhile me kevin was come to my dad studios to get the camera from him for the filming. I have to beg my dad for the filming because that camera very expensive and he scare that I will broke it. By the way after got the camera I have to book a car, that was at 6pm. At the time from my dad studios come to Louis house is 20km and its took more than 45mins from my dad studios to there, because of the traffic problems also ;-;. Even though at the first time I came to Louis house my phone was out of battery at that time. I was so struggling to find his house. There was 2 same address at that areas that that make me lose the way :(((. ANOTHER 20 mins of finding his house omg. Finally when I was borrow the charger from the guards in that areas I finally can call to Louis and said he find me. Scripts discussion

- At the started we think that we may do a normal horror movies, but its cost quite expensive for the studios and many factors. Then we change to online meeting found footage, we were keep that idea until next 2 weeks, Mr.Alex said that was so boring and not special to attract the viewers so finally our discussion has been change to horror found footage. By the way We want to make sure that the characters’ lines would fit the flow of the opening scene. That there were 3 main factors:

• Character Development:
At first, our group will develop 5 character; 4 boys and 1 girl. However, the girl that want to cast for our group has pulled out, because she didn’t get the permission to film at night. Then we have to borrow Nathan sister but she dont want to film with us because she lazy and busy with some extra class. Eventually, we go and develop the 4 boys, which gonna be a group of friends in the movie.
• Create Lines For Characters:

Now, the thought of filming at the alley next to the garden at Louis house transforms into character lines. We chose to have all four characters chat about basketball at the beginning of the opening scene because some of the people in our group are basketball players. In order for the subsequent scenes to make sense inside the framework of the opening scene, we attempt to write lines for them. Certain lines function properly, but others rely on Mark, Louis, and Nathan.

• Conclusion:

- After all , we finally done with our scripts, but Louis scripts was so tr4sh, oh my lord his scripts was cringe. Then we have to sit back and redo the scripts again and again until we produce the final best scripts. At the started our scripts only have lines of characters, after analyzing and re-write the scripts again we have add more contents for the scripts and editing like screen glitch, some cut scence and some words pop up at the start. By the way we completely done with our first day of making scripts and eating MC.DONALD(REAL). But we promise that we will keep tryhard for the filming next time.

20th Jan: Filming Session #1

After the script discussion session. 2 days later, we put our plan on paper into real life. Our first filming session. AGAIN I HATE TO FILMING AT LOUIS HOUSE, I DONT KNOW WHY ITS HAPPEND EVERY SINGLE TIME I CAME TO LOUIS HOUSE. I was from my other extra classes to Louis house, but when I try to book a car, my phone was out of battery again and I have to take a taxi by myself. I have to wait about 30 mins until a TAXI came to me because I was on highway road. Anyway We start our opening scene in an alley near the home’s garden. That alley was a part of Louis uncle’s motel area. The plan was to start the opening scene in the alley and develop a sequence from it.

The requirement of equipments for our opening scene is very open. We don’t need much to make our set looks better. Instead of artificial lighting, we use the darkness of the night to set up a mysterious alley set. The entire filming session requires only one recording equipment, which is my camera Sony A6400. The filming quality of the camera was really great, and it was easy to edit to color gradient of each footage that I choose.

In conclusion, the second filming was really successful, I was pround and excited of after finally finish the filming.

30th Jan: Filming Session #2

About

After the first filming session and after some editing of the footages, Nathan complained that there were still some errors in the footages that I use for the final product. So Louis said that we have to redo it again for the extra film if our film error that big. But Louis still carry us with the edit so we help him to type down words so audience can read the text easier.

Last recording

- At this last time, finally me remember Louis house, then I need to point the grab where I should go, and came to Louis house without any lost or struggle. At this last time, we just need to record some of the part that we think its wrong and Louis will edit it in. This time, Louis neighbours came outside and watching film. Even though Louis has come there and said change place for an while but he dont even listen to Louis. Then we have keep filming, and Louis said he will cut that voice and his neighbours out of the film.
